Jagan DA case: CBI obtains clarifications from AP Min

The CBI has obtained clarifications from Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah while the in-custody interrogation of Kadapa Lok Sabha Member Jaganmohan Reddy came to a close this evening. The CBI has interrogated Jaganmohan Reddy in custody for past five days in connection with the Disproportionate Assets case against him following the high Court Directions.Jaganmohan reddy was reportedly questioned about the flow of investments into his companies including his newspaper organisations, TV Channel and cement companies. The CBI questioned him in the presence of two advocates and documents in hand. The Centarl Investigating Agency has summoned the IT Minister Lakshmaiah who was then the irrigation minister and reportedly questioned together with Jaganmohan Reddy. He had issued Government Orders allocating water directly from the project reservoirs to some Industries which invested in Jaganmohan reddy’s companies. He has been reportedly questioned on issuing those Orders. Several Officials have also been questioned in connection with the assets case during the last five days.Jaganmohan Reddy, who was arrested and on judicial remand till 11th of this month is facing charges of conspiracy in doling out favours to various industries those invested in his own companies.Meanwhile, a CBI Special Court in Hyderabad has extended today the remand of state former Excise Minister Mopidevi Venkataramana till 21st of this month and also rejected his bail petition. He was arrested in connection with the assets case against the Kadapa MP.
