Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah has appeared before the CBI today even as the Central Investigating Agency continuing its last day interrogation of Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy in custody in connection with the disproportionate assets case. Mr Lakshmaiah has been summoned to appear before the CBI for issuing Government Order to supply water from Irrigation Projects to some companies that allegedly invested in Jaganmohan Reddy’s business. Some senior officials of Irrigation Department have also been present. The CBI continued questioning Jaganmohan Reddy reportedly on the investments into his cement company in the presence of the Ministers and some Government officials. The CBI has been questiong him for the last four days following the High Court’s directions. Jaganmohan Reddy, who was arrested and on judicial remand till 11th of this month is facing charges of conspiracy in doling out favours to various industries those invested in his own companies.Meanwhile, a CBI Special Court in Hyderabad has extended today the remand of state former Excise Minister Mopidevi Venkataramana till 21st of this month. He was arrested in connection with the disproportionate assets case against the Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy and remanded till yesterday.
