Jagan case: Andhra court allows CBI to issue Letters Rogatory

In Andhra Pradesh, a local court at Hyderabad allowed the CBI's request to issue Letters Rogatory to be sent to six countries in connection with the agency's probe into corruption charges against Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.CBI officials approached the special court for CBI cases at Hyderabad to obtain Letters Rogatory to further carry out its investigations into the alleged disproportionate assets of the Congress chief. A letter rogatory is a formal request from a court to a foreign court for judicial assistance, such as seeking evidence and that a witness who resides in that independent jurisdiction be examined through the use of interrogatories accompanying the request.
