Jagadish Shettar meets Governor; claims majority in Karnataka assembly

The Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shetter claimed that his Government enjoys majority and Governor has not asked him to prove majority. Speaking to media persons after meeting the Governor, the Chief Minister said that the Governor has informed him that 13 BJP MLAs met him and have complained that the Speaker was not available to receive their resignation letters despite prior intimation. The Chief Minister said, he conveyed the decision of the Cabinet to have Joint Session of legislature on 4th of next month and that the Governor has agreed to address the Joint Session. Governor H R Bharadwaj told media persons on Friday morning that he will ask Chief Minister to prove the majority on the floor of the House, if he finds out that the legislative strength of the ruling party has lost its majority.
