JAG Department celebrates 38th Corps Day today

<span style="color: #222222;">The Judge Advocate General or JAG Department, the judicial and legal wing of the Indian Army that deals with the dispensation of justice to all ranks is celebrating with traditional gaiety and fervor its 38th Corps Day today. The Corps day is celebrated on 21st December as it was this day when in 1949, the Bill for the Army Act was introduced in the Parliament.<br />'' <br />'' In his message on the occasion of the Corps Day 2021, Major General Praveen Kumar, the Judge Advocate General, lauded contribution of his department to the cause of justice and extended his good wishes to all personnel and their families.<br />'' <br />'' Mentioning about the challenging time of Covid pandemic, Major General Praveen Kumar said that in the dreadful time of pandemic also his department performed its duties sincerely and relentlessly.<br />''<br />''Judge Advocate General, JAG is the legal advisor to the Chief of the Army Staff in matters of military, martial and international laws and his department is responsible for the administration of military justice in all its varied aspects and deals with Court Martial matters.</span>
