JAC bandh puts AP to a standstill

The non-cooperation agitation by Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) in Andhra Pradesh is picking up momentum. As part of the non-cooperation, the JAC demonstrated and organised ‘rasta roko’ at several places across the region.Demanding the Government to introduce a Bill on a Telangana state in Parliament, the JAC launched a non-cooperation agitation throughout the region two days ago.Besides, political leaders from the region, employees, workers and teachers took part in the agitation. The work in government offices came to a standstill at mandal level in some parts of the region while functioning at offices in the state capital, Hyderabad also got affected to some extent.The agitators undertook ticket-less travel in the public transport buses.Meanwhile, four buses were set on fire by unidentified persons last night near the Osmania University in Hyderabad.
