Union Health Minister J P Nadda today released a book- Indian Food Composition Tables,2017 which will provide information regarding nutritional values in food products. <br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion in New Delhi, Mr Nadda said, the book which is a compilation of nutrients found in food items will help researchers in the field of nutrition. He said, the people will also know about different types nutrients found in the food items they consume. <br/><br/>Mr Nadda said, he has also asked the Indian Council of Medical Research to prepare a mobile App containing database of Indian foods in simple language so that the common man can understand the scientific language used in the book easily. <br/><br/>A two-day International Symposium on Food Composition in Nutrition and Health was also inaugurated. Minister of State for Health Faggan Singh Kulaste was also present.
