J P Nadda reviews preparedness for prevention and management of seasonal Influenza-H1NI

Health Minister J P Nadda today reviewed the preparedness for prevention and management of seasonal Influenza-H1NI at a high level meeting in New Delhi. <br/><br/>During the meeting, Mr Nadda issued necessary directions to monitor seasonal influenza cases with special focus on creating awareness, ensuring availability of medicines and vaccines and early treatment of patients as per protocol. <br/><br/>It was informed that advisories have already been issued to the States in this regard and the situation is being monitored by the Health Ministry. <br/><br/>Mr Nadda directed the officials to ensure continuous monitoring and vigil on all cases of Swine Flu and early detection, reporting and proper categorization of patients. <br/><br/>He also directed to take necessary action to increase number of testing facilities for Swine Flu case both in Government and Private Sector and NCDC will provide required support to the States on the issue. <br/><br/>He asked all the states to ensure availability of beds in government and private health facilities for management of swine flu as per exigencies. The Health Minister directed the Central government institutions to also earmark sufficient number of beds for such patients.
