After nearly two months long cold dry spell, the Kashmir valley has been witnessing first snowfall of the season since Wednesday evening. AIR correspondent reports that while mild snowfall mixed with rain lashed the planes of the valley, the tourist resorts of Gulmarg and Pahelgam are experiencing a speedy moderate snowfall. Meanwhile, Srinagar-Jammu National Highway has been closed due to slippery conditions of the road. Several parts of Uttarakhand are experiencing light to moderate rain and snowfall. While Chamoli, Uttarkashi and Pithoragarh districts are experiencing snowfall, state capital Dehradun experienced downpour this morning. Met department has predicted that cold wave conditions will intensify in coming days.
