A special court in Mumbai on Monday, extended till 9th December, the police custody of Jigna Vora – arrested on charges of abetting the murder of senior crime journalist Jyotirmoy Dey.Stating that Vora was not cooperating with the investigation, prosecutor, Dilip Shah argued that since new material had come to light in the last few days which needs to be probed, she has been remanded to further police custody.The Mumbai Police has also alleged that Jigna had instigated Chota Rajan to kill Dey due to professional rivalry.Jigna Vora, Deputy Chief of Bureau of Asian Age, was recently arrested under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) on charges of supplying the license plate number of the motorcycle and address of the Jytoirmoy Dey to underworld gangster Chota Rajan.Jyotirmoy Dey, senior crime journalist working with city-based tabloid Mid Day, was shot dead in suburban Powai in Mumbai on June 11, 2011.
