A Mumbai court today extended the police custody of city based builder Vinod Asrani in the J Dey murder case till the 13th of this month. Vinod was arrested on 3rd of July and his police custody had ended today. According to police, Vinod had called J Dey to a suburban hotel on the pretext of a meeting and had also simultaneously called the shooters to help them to identify the target. The veteran journalist J Dey was shot dead on 11th of June in Hiranandani area of suburban Powai.
