Deported gangster Chhota Rajan was today produced before a special MCOCA court in Mumbai via video-conferencing from Tihar Jail, in connection with journalist J Dey murder case of 2011. Rajan is presently housed in Delhi's Tihar Jail. <br/><br/>Special Judge A L Pansare explained the J Dey case to Rajan and later send him into custody. Special Public Prosecutor Dileep Shah informed that the next date of the case is January 19, when charges will be framed against Rajan. <br/><br/>CBI official informed that Rajan had moved an application in Delhi court saying he should not be sent to Mumbai as there is threat to his life. However, CBI has been granted permission to carry out investigations in the case. <br/><br/>During the hearing, Judge Pansare reprimanded the Mumbai Police for not serving the copy of the chargesheet to Rajan. Last week, the Bombay High Court designated a Special Court in Mumbai to try cases involving Rajan.
