Assam's new Governor Mr. Janaki Ballabh Patnaik was sworn in today in a simple function at the Durbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan in Guwahati. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and his cabinet colleagues were present.<br/><br/>The oath of office and secrecy was adminstred by Gauhati High Court Chief Justice J Chelameswar.<br/><br/>Patnaik had served as Congress Chief Minister of Orissa for three terms and was appointed Assam Governor after the term of the out going Governor Syed Sibtey Razi expired this month.<br/>
