Cracking the whip on dope offenders, Indian Weightlifting Federation has handed life bans on three lifters for their second dope offences. The lifters include 2006 Commonwealth Games 56 kg silver medallist Vicky Bhatta, and two Services lifters G Damodaran -105 kg and Rajesh Kumar Singh -94kg.Indian Weightlifting Federation Secretary Sahadev Yadav told PTI today that the IWF is trying to cleanse weightlifting from the menace of doping. The IWF Secretary has said that the Federation has sent letters to the individual lifters and to their employers and state units.
