The leader of a militia that helped Ivory Coast President Alassane Ouattara defeat rival Laurent Gbagbo this month was killed on Wednesday. A spokesman said, Ibrahim Coulibaly and his men had refused to disarm and he died during fighting with his former allies in the main city of Abidjan. The militia leader fell out with President Alassane Quattara after he took office. Mr. Quattara is trying to establish normality in the country. Banks are expected to reopen later on Thursday for the first time in weeks.
