ITBP to raise 13 new battalion

The Indo- Tibetan border Police Force ‘ ITBP, will raise 13 new battalion for restructuring of its forces. This will help guard the Indo- China border smoothly and fulfill other obligations of internal security duties like anti naxal operations.Briefing reporters in New Delhi Director General of ITBP, R.K Bhatia said expansion will help rotation of troops from high altitude to plain areas. He said that the centre has granted an amount of 102 crore rupees to fulfill the needs of advanced weaponry requirements for anti naxal operations in the naxal infested areas.He said that in the wake of the terrorist attack on the Indian Embassy in Afghanistan, security cover has been augmented in and around by the deployment of more ITBP personnel.
