ITBP Chief Vikram Srivastava was today appointed as Director General of CRPF, world's largest para military force, in place of A S Gill who retires on Sunday. 57-year-old Srivastava, a 1973 batch IPS officer of UP cadre, will have a tenure till March 31, 2012. He was appointed as Director General of Indo Tibetan Border Police on May 7, 2008.<br/>
