A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court today stayed a single bench order permitting the Italian vessel Enrica Lexie to sail, after furnishing a bond for three crore rupees. The vessel has been detained in connection with the killing of two fishermen off the Kerala coast on the 15th of last month.
The Division Bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Mrs Manjula Chellur and Justice V Chitambaresh stayed the single bench order on a petition moved by the relatives of the two fishermen killed in the shooting incident. The Court will consider the case on Monday.
