The search for weapons on board the Italian vessel Enrica Lexie will begin now. The Special Investigation Team, led by the Kochi City Police Commissioner MR Ajith Kumar, reached the vessel berthed at one of the oil tanker terminals of the Cochin Port.Besides forensic and ballistics experts, Navy and Coast Guard officials are also assisting the investigating team.Two notified technical experts from the Italian Military Police Major Flebus Luca, Major Fratini Paolo and Italian Consul General in Mumbai Giampaolo Cutillo have also reached the vessel.The search on the vessel and the ballistics examination will be carried out in the presence of the Italian experts, following a court order.
