It would be wrong to assume no loss to exchequer in 2G Spectrum: CBI

The Public Accounts Committee Chairman Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi has said that the CBI Director has told the Commitee that it would be wrong to say that zero loss was caused to the exchequer in the 2G spectrum allocation. The CBI Director appeared before the PAC in New Delhi yesterday. Information Technology and Communication Minister Kapil Sibal had earlier said that no loss was caused in the allocation of 2G spectrum.Meanwhile, the BJP leader L.K.Advani said in Kolkata that his party will remain firm on its demand for a probe by a joint parliamentary committee into the 2G spectrum scam. Addressing a public rally, he said that BJP is of the opinion that all the recent scams should be probed by the JPC. Mr. Advani slammed the UPA Government at the center for being silent on corruption.
