The Income Tax department has issued refunds worth one lakh crore rupees till January in the current fiscal. In a tweet, Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia said, Income Tax department has so far issued refunds to one lakh 75 crore assesses in 10 months of 2015-16 fiscal. He said, this refund has created major relief to tax payers. Mr Adhia said, this demonstrates Government's intention to create a tax-friendly environment.
