Congress has said that observations made by the four senior most judges of Supreme Court at a press conference are extremely disturbing and have far reaching consequence for safeguarding democracy and preserving the independence of judiciary. <br/><br/>Briefing reporters in New Delhi today Party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala demanded that the full Court of the Supreme Court should take up the issues raised by the Judges and find solutions that are consistent with the traditions and conventions of the Judiciary. <br/><br/>He also demanded that the matter concerning the death of CBI Judge B H Loya must be entrusted to the senior most Judges of the apex Court to ensure a thorough and impartial investigation by an independent SIT. <br/><br/>The Party also said, the established conventions and traditions must be followed in the assignment of cases and the selective assignment be stopped forthwith. Later, Party president Rahul Gandhi said, the issue raised by the judges of supreme court is very serious and should be addressed.
