The issue of reported ban on singing the national anthem at a private school in Allahabad was raised in the Lok Sabha today. <br/><br/>During Zero Hour, BJP MP Kirit Somaiya termed it a serious matter and wanted government's response in this regard. He was supported by party colleagues. <br/><br/>Responding to it, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs S S Ahluwalia described the incident as unfortunate and said he will convey the matter to the concerned Minister. <br/><br/>Reportedly, the school had never allowed the singing of the national anthem. The school was shut down and its manager was arrested after several teachers resigned over the issue.
