ISRO working to find out presence and nature of minerals in moon

Vast Scope of research for two to three years is possible with the data that had already been received from Chandrayan I, said Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, Project Director of Chandrayan, ISRO. ISRO is working to find out the presence and nature of minerals in moon and it requires more chemical analysis and research. He was talking to press people in Coimbatore today in Tamil Nadu after delivering the 30th Convocation address in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU). Chndrayan II will be launched by GSLV in 2012-13 with an economical budget of Rs.426 crores like that of Chandrayan I. He said that only indigenously developed technology is using for this project. But the use of Russian technology can not be ruled out since an MOU was signed between two countries. Chdrayan II contain two components, one component will orbit around the moon and the other component contains two motorised robot that will make a soft launch in the moon, he said.<br/>
