The Indian Space Research Organisation ISRO will launch a regional navigation satellite IRNSS-1E on January 20 to provide terrestrial and aerial services. This is the fifth navigational satellite and forms part of a constellation of seven satellites meant for setting up the regional navigation satellite system in the country. <br/><br/>ISRO's Satellite Centre Director M Annadurai told reporters at the Indian Science Congress in Mysuru today that Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle PSLV-XL that will carry the satellite to its orbit, is ready for fueling on the launch pad in Sriharikota space station in Andhra Pradesh. <br/><br/>He added that the sixth navigation satellite IRNSS-1F will be launched in mid-February and seventh satellite IRNSS-1G by March 31. ISRO had launched four navigation satellites between 2013 and 2015. <br/><br/>The navigational system will help navigate aircrafts and ships around the Indian sub-continent. It can track movement of vehicles and capture geodetic data similar to the Global Positioning System of USA.
