Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will launch the INSAT – 3 DR satellite on 8th September using heavyweight GSLV Mark – II. Speaking to Media after inaugurating the 5th edition of Bangalore Space Expo- 2016 today, ISRO Chairman Dr. A S Kiran Kumar said that on 26th September, the space organization will launch SCAN SAT satellite along with an Algerian satellite, besides two mini satellites from the universities. Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) will be used to launch this satellites, he said.<br/><br/><br/>Dr. Kiran Kumar said that the private sector in India has shown tremendous response to ISRO's effort to rope them in for Satellite and launch vehicle programme to enable the country emerge as a major force in global space technology sector. AIR correspondent reports that the prime objective of the three day conference was to involve private sector, to help the country to bring new technology. More than 70 exhibitors from 12 foreign countries including Canada, France, Australia and US are participating in the three day Bangalore Space Expo-2016.
