ISRO scheduled launch of Resourcesat-2A on December 7

The Indian Space Research Organization, ISRO has scheduled the launch of India's remote sensing satellite Resourcesat-2A on December 7. <br/><br/>The public relations director of the national space agency, Dr. Deviprasad Karnik told AIR News, the satellite would be launched by PSLV-C36 at 10.24 am from its spaceport at Sriharikotta. Resourcesat-2A is intended to provide data continuity to the users. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that the Resourcesat 2A is configured like its predecessor Resourcesat-2, that was launched in April 2011. The satellite will be injected into a sun-synchronous polar orbit by the launch vehicle. <br/><br/>The satellite will be having three-tier imaging capacity, with a unique combination of instruments consisting of three solid-state cameras to map the natural resources. India has a constellation of remote sensing satellites in orbit and Resourcesat-2A would augment its capacity in generating important data.
