<span style="color: #222222;">The Department of Space Secretary and Chairman of ISRO, Dr. K Sivan has welcomed the reforms in the space sector announced by the Union Cabinet yesterday. In his live video address today, he said, reforms will unlock full potential enabling private enterprises and start ups to undertake end to end space activities. The autonomous nodal agency called Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Center, IN-SPACE proposed to be set up as part of the reforms, Dr. Sivan said, will hand-hold and promote private endeavours in space sector. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">This will open up ISRO facilities to private players and also provide technical expertise. He also informed that the role of New Space India Limited is being re-defined to transform the approach of supply driven model to demand driven model for space based services. The new body will execute launch vehicle and satellite activities through industry consortiums. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">This, he noted, will allow ISRO to allocate more time and resources for advanced R&amp;D endeavours. Saying that a new Navigation Policy is also being proposed, Dr. Sivan informed that suitable changes will be made in Remote Sensing Data Policy and SATCOM policy.</span><br />'' &nbsp;
