Israeli President arrives in Mumbai on 6-day visit to India

Israel President Reuven Rivlin arrived in Mumbai today morning on a six-day visit to India to further strengthen bilateral relations. Mr. Rivlin, who arrived at the Mumbai airport with a large delegation of businessmen and academicians, will leave for Delhi today itself. <br/><br/>The Israeli President Mr. Reuven Rivlin commenced his India Visit by offering his respects at the sites of the 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai today. Six Jews were killed at the Mumbai Chabad house during the terror attacks on November 26, 2008. <br/><br/>The academic delegation accompanying President Rivlin includes presidents and senior representatives of Israeli academic institutions, who are likely to ink separate agreements with Indian institutions. Mr. Rivlin is scheduled to visit Delhi and Chandigarh, also. During his visit Israeli President will hold meetings with senior Indian officials and with leaders of the Jewish community.

Israel President Reuven Rivlin arrived in Mumbai today morning on a six-day visit to India to further strengthen bilateral relations. Mr. Rivlin, who landed at the Mumbai airport with a large delegation of businessmen and academicians, will embark for Delhi today itself. <br/><br/>He will have bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi tomorrow. The visiting leader will also meet President Pranab Mukherjee, on whose invitation he is visiting the country. He will also offer his respects at the sites of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks in Mumbai.<br/><br/> Six Jews were killed at the Mumbai Chabad house during the Mumbai terror attacks on November 26, 2008. Mr. Rivlin will also have meetings with senior Indian officials and with leaders of the Jewish community.<br/><br/>The academic delegation accompanying Rivlin includes presidents and senior representatives of Israeli academic institutions, who are likely to ink various agreements with Indian institutions.
