Israeli jets on Saturday bombed several targets across the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip in response to militant rocket fire, the army and Palestinian witnesses said in Gaza city. A military spokesman said planes targeted a building used for manufacturing rockets on the outskirts of Gaza City as well as two smuggling tunnels linking the south of the impoverished enclave to Egypt. No casualties were reported in the strikes, witnesses said. The attacks came after Palestinian militants fired a rocket and a mortar shell against southern Israel on Friday.
