Israeli car bombing: Delhi police step up extradition efforts

Delhi Police has stepped up their efforts for extradition of an Iranian national and the alleged main conspirator in Delhi bombing on Israeli diplomat's car last month to India. It is seeking the Interpol's help and moving a court in Delhi for his arrest warrant.

PTI quoting sources said, investigators are approaching the CBI to seek the Interpol's assistance to bring Masod Sedaghatzadeh, currently in the custody of Malaysian police to India. He is the head of the module which had triggered an explosion in Bangkok and believed to have guided the bombers in Delhi.

According to police, Houshang Afshar Irani, the alleged bomber who had targeted the Israeli Embassy car in New Delhi on the 13th of last month was in touch with Sedaghatzadeh.
Sedaghatzadeh has been charged under various provisions of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, the Explosives Substances Act and the IPC.
