Israeli cabinet decision on West Bank settlements

The Israeli cabinet has decided to list some settlements in the West Bank as national priority zones, which entitles them to credits worth 41 million dollars. The cabinet's move comes few weeks after Israel announced a 10-month moratorium on new building permits in the settlements on occupied Palestinian areas. The decision entitles the communities to millions of dollars of extra state funding. The new credits will benefit 1 lakh 10 thousand settlers and can be used for vocational training programmes and other educational or cultural activities.
