A Palestinian has been killed and four injured in an Israeli air raid on smuggling tunnels between Gaza and Egypt. Israel confirmed the air raid, which it said was in response to a rocket fired from into Israel last night. The rocket caused neither casualties nor damage. The Tunnels are used to smuggle food and other goods into Gaza which is subject to an Israeli-Egyptian blockade. Militants use them to bring in weapons. The Islamist militant group Hamas has controlled the territory since it took it over by force in June 2007.
