Five Palestinians have been injured in a series of air strikes launched by Israeli warplanes, which targeted different areas in the Gaza Strip on Thursday morning.According to official Palestinian WAFA news agency, five people were injured in the bombardment and transferred to Shifa Hospital to receive treatment. It said, Israeli warplanes also hit vacant land east of Al-Zaytoun neighbourhood southeast of Gaza City with no reports of injuries.An Israeli army spokesman said that earlier on Wednesday, a rocket fired from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip hit southern Israel but no one was hurt.
