Israel warns to intensify its ground offensive in Gaza Strip

Israel today said that it would widen its ground offensive in the Gaza Strip. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that it launched the ground opration only after Hamas rejected ceasefire proposals. Israeli forces backed by artillery and airstrikes launched the ground offensive last night with the army intending to strike at Hamas infrastructure.

The Israeli move comes after 11 days of airstrikes that have killed 265 Palestinians so far but failed to stop the rocket attacks on it.
