In Israel, a policewoman was stabbed and killed in an attack outside Jerusalem's Old City. Police said, two of the Palestinians attacked police officers with guns and knives while the third stabbed the policewoman. Police said, security forces shot dead three suspected Palestinian assailants. The attack took place yesterday at the Al-Aqsa mosque compound, Islam's third-holiest site. <br/><br/>The Islamic State group (IS) claimed responsibility for the fatal stabbing. However, Hamas has rejected the claim of IS, and said, the three Palestinians shot dead belonged to local Islamist and leftist movements.<br/>A wave of unrest that broke out in October 2015 has claimed the lives of 272 Palestinians, 42 Israelis, two Americans, two Jordanians, an Eritrean, a Sudanese and a Briton.<br/><br/>
