According to a report, the first strike hit a runway near the compound of the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's residence, which is now occupied by the Hamas. Eight people were wounded in the strike. The coastal Israeli city of Ashkelon was hit by a rocket fired by Palestinian militants in Gaza early yesterday, causing minor damage but no injuries.
