Israel denies reports of arms sale to Pak; says will not undermine India's security

Israel has denied reports that it had sold military equipment and arms to Pakistan. In a statement, the Israeli defence ministry said that it strongly denies selling any military equipment to Pakistan. It has also emphasized that won’t do anything to undermine India’s national security. The statement said that Israel has long-standing strategic relationship with India, a democracy that also understands what it means to fight terror, and a strategic anchor in global affairs. The Statement by the Israeli defence ministry comes in the wake of a report by the UK Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, which issues export license permits.
The British report said that Israel had sold arms and security equipment to Pakistan, Egypt, Algeria, UAE and Morocco. The report said that Israel had applied for permits in 2010 to export electronic warfare systems and, head-up cockpit displays with British components to Pakistan. The Israeli defence ministry also said that it would take up the matter with the UK Department to get the necessary clarifications regarding the official report.
