<br/>Israel Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman has said that Israel cannot agree to freeze construction in Jerusalem, either west or east as this simply means a waiver of independence in the context of Israel’s sovereignty.<br/><br/> According to a statement if Israeli foreign ministry, received by AIR in Dubai today, during an interview with Russian radio he said that Israel is ready for any negotiations – either direct or through mediators but it believes that direct negotiations are the only real alternative for reaching an agreement.<br/><br/> He added, ‘The refusal of direct negotiations would be indicative of the actual intentions of our counterparts.’
