Israel Air Force jets struck two targets in the Gaza Strip last night in retaliation for a Qassam rocket attack launched earlier into southern Israel from Gaza. No one was hurt. According to a statement of Israeli defence spokesperson's office, the first airstrike targeted a building in central Gaza suspected as serving as a Hamas centre, and the second targeted a smuggling tunnel under the borderline between Egypt and the coastal enclave. Earlier on Tuesday, a Qassam rocket hit the southern city of Ashkelon, which borders with the Gaza strip. No injuries or damage was reported.
