Ismail Ssenyange of Uganda has won the Wipro Chennai Marathon 2012. He clocked 2 hours, 36 minutes and 22 seconds to cross the distance. The event saw over 5500 persons participating in the 42-kilometre run in Chennai on Sunday. In the women's category, Indresh Dhiraj emerged victorious with a time of 3 hours, 29 minutes and 39 seconds.The men's half marathon (21.1 kilometers) was won by R Rajesh. Michelle Sharma won the women's category. Nanjundappa Nanjunda and Andrea Genuini won the men's and women's 10 kilometre run respectively.
