ISM to solve water crisis in coal mine region

Indian School of Mines, ISM, Dhanbad is willing to help different agencies in solving the existing water crisis in the coal mine region of India. Speaking to AIR Ranchi Correspondent, the Director of the ISM Professor T Kumar said that since the conventional water sources like rivers are hugely polluted and underground water is found at the hard rocks in the coal region, it requires specialized handling of water resource management in these areas. He added that the premier mining school of the country has huge repository of knowledge and technology to find out solution to this problem.
