Later this evening, they were released from Adiala jail in Rawalpindi. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A two-judge bench of the High Court heard the petitions challenging the trio's conviction related to the purchase of luxury flats in London. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The bench ordered their release from jail on bail bonds of five lakh rupees each. It said their sentences would remain suspended till the final judgement on their appeals comes. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Nawaz Sharif was sentenced to 11 years, Maryam to eight years and Safdar to one year in prison in the Avenfield properties case. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The accountability court on the 6th of July announced the verdict in the Avenfield properties corruption reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Today's ruling comes just a week after Nawaz Sharif's wife, Kulsoom Nawaz, died from cancer in London. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Nawaz Sharif resigned as prime minister last year after the Supreme Court disqualified him from holding public office and ruled that graft cases be filed against him and his children over the Panama Papers scandal.</span><br />''
