Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has said, the impact of activities of the terror group ISIS cannot be understated on global economy. Addressing annual event of ASSOCHAM in New Delhi today, Mr. Jaitley said that ISIS has posed a new danger to the civilization. He said the government is trying to to put firewalls around the economy to save it from present crisis in a world which is full of turmoil and volatility. <br/>He said global slowdown will affect country's economy and there will be shrinkage both in export and import markets. <br/><br/>The Minister said in the given situation, India must seize opportunity, cut corners where they exist, so that cumulative steps can be take to attract investors. <br/>On the passage of key legislation including GST Bill in the upcoming Winter Session of Parliament, Mr. Jaitley said those who stall reforms should realize that place of obsolete thinking is now shrinking and India has become aspirational. He said the government is willing to discuss with the Opposition and the Congress needs to revisit some suggestions on GST as they are not in the best interest of the country.
