The Chief of Army Staff, Gen VK Singh has said that appearance of Pakistan ISI suicide bomber's name as an army man killed in Kargil conflict on Pakistan Army's Website speaks volumes of the way the state actors are involved in perpetrating terror across the Line of Control emanating from its soil.He was reacting to a report published in a section of the press regarding an ISI agent who was sent on a suicide attack operation in India. He, however, died in a New Delhi hospital due to some other reason on November 16, 2007 but was shown as a Kargil martyr. The martyr's section of the Pakistan Army website www.pakistanarmy.gov.pk lists 25 ISI operatives with varying causes of death in India. AIR correspondent says that for the first time Pakistan officials have acknowledged that its regular soldiers participated in the Kargil war by making their names public. Names of hundreds of soldiers, a majority of them from the Northern Light Infantry, have been put up in the martyrs corner of the website.
