In Pakistan an Islamic State (IS) flag has displayed near the country's capital. The flag which was put up over a billboard on Sunday on a major expressway in Islamabad. Islamabad police has registered an First Investigation Report (FIR) regarding the appearance of a flag. <br/><br/>Pakistan Interior Ministry authorities said a committee has been formed to investigate the incident and denied the reports that IS may have established a foothold in the country. The last time such flags were spotted near the federal capital was in Nov 2014, when a number of flags were seen on electricity poles near the highly-secured Pakistan Ordnance Factories at Wah.<br/>'<br/>The IS terror group has taken roots in the mountain regions of Afghanistan and Pakistan since early 2015. The Director General of Pakistan's Intelligence Bureau, Aftab Sultan, last year warned lawmakers that IS was an emerging problem in the country and hundreds of fighters linked to local banned religious groups had left for Syria to join IS ranks there.
