Irish police releases 3 arrested over Swedish cartoonist ‘death plot’

The Police in the Irish Republic have released three of the seven Muslims arrested over an alleged plot to murder a Swedish cartoonist. They were freed without filing of any charges after three days of questioning. The trio were held on suspicion of plotting to kill Lars Vilks over a cartoon published in a Swedish newspaper in 2007 to illustrate an editorial on freedom of expression.
