Irina Bokova elected Director General of UNESCO?

<br/>Bulgaria's diplomat Irina Bokova will be the new Director General of UNESCO. Her appointment was officially confirmed at the 193-member UNESCO General Assembly meeting in Paris late yesterday. She will be the first woman to lead UNESCO. Bokova, 57, defeated Egyptian Culture Minister Farouk Hosny after a suspenseful and drawn-out race. She will take oath of office next month.
