Ireland retrieve pride, defeat Bangladesh by 7 wickets in the third T20I

Ireland finally scored a convincing 7-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the third T20I match played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Friday. The Ireland team had already conceded the 3-match series after losing the first two T20I against Bangladesh earlier but the victory in the third T20I helped them avert a total washout against the dominant Bangladesh team.
''
''Batting first, Bangladesh could reach a modest 124 in 19.2 overs. They could cross the 100-run mark thanks to the maiden half-century by Shamim Hossain who scored 51 off 42 balls with the help of 5 fours and 2 sixes. From the Ireland side, seven bowlers took at least one wicket each while Mark Adair scalped 3-wickets for the Bangladesh team.
''
''Chasing the Bangladesh score proved to be easy for Ireland with captain Paul Stirling scoring a commendable 77 off 41 balls. Stirling hit 10 fours and 4 sixes before being caught by Najmul Hossain Shanto on the boundary line off the bowling of Rishad. His innings helped Ireland to reach 126 for 3 in 14 overs.
''The two teams will now play the one-test series at Dhaka starting from April 4.
