Ireland beat Zimbabwe by 3-wkt in ICC World T20

Ireland recorded a three-wicket win over Zimbabwe in a Qualifying Group B match of the ICC World T20 tournament on Monday. At Sylhet in Bangladesh, chasing a challenging target of 164 runs, Ireland achieved victory by making 164 for 7 in 20 overs. Opener Paul Stirling was the top scorer for the winners with a quickfire 60 off 34 balls.Earlier, sent in to bat, Zimbabwe scored 163 for five in the stipulated twenty overs. Skipper Brendan Taylor was the top scorer with 59. Ireland will play UAE in their next qualifying match on Wednesday at same venue, while Zimbabwe will be up against Netherlands.
